I have received emails from frustrated bidders telling me they were outbid at the last second. What happens is bidders who bid in the last few seconds of the auction win because there is no chance to counter their bid. If you have a keen interest for a particular item, I recommend you enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend on the auction and let eBay bid for you in increments (eg. If you say your maximum is $50, and the auction ends at $25, then you pay $25. If someone bids to $49 then eBay automatically bids $50 for you but will not go above that!). This smart function has been installed for YOU, so that YOU can win more of the items that you really want!
