Description

Up for auction is a set of 4 Columbia Viva-tonal 78 rpm records done by Moran and Mack otherwise known as the “Black Crows”.

I bought these from another collector 12 years ago and stored them away.  The sleeves are original and all records are in excellent physical and playing condition.  There is a small edge chip on Part 4 (bottom of picture), which is not near the music.  Records are extremely clean with few to no surfaces scratches.  Sleeves do have some tears, small pieces of missing paper, and they are fragile. I would grade these records at least an E+. These recordings were made by Columbia in 1927.

Record 1:  Two Black Crows Part 1 and Part 2   935-D      (143602 / 143603)

Record 2:  Two Black Crows Part 3 and Part 4   1094-D    (144198 / 144467)

Record 3:  Two Black Crows Part 5 and Part 6   1198-D    (144975 / 144976)

Record 4:  Two Black Crows Part 7 and Part 8   1350-D    (145396 / 145235)

A typical Moran and Mack line from their comedy routine:

"On our farm, we had a thousand chickens, and 999 of 'em laid eggs."

"What was wrong with the other one?"

"Uh, he was the Head Man."
