Description
Surely little need to rave about this ridiculously scarce and collectible Turkish Funk hybrid? Originally coming to the attention of the digging fraternity via the somewhat dubious compilation Bosporus Bridges back in 2005 which featured several now extremely sought after tracks from a number of credible Turkish Jazz and Funk artists, this was clearly the standout track since it contained all those vital ingredients of exactly the kind of heavy Jazz Funk fans were looking for. Whilst hard to pin down, the sound here is part heavy Funk from a grand perspective and part trippy cosmic Disco full of insane electronic effects and a filthy bassline which doesn’t give up. My favourite track from the compilation by far this is a unique and totally bonkers style of Funk falling somewhere between the space excursions of French cosmic rock and Bruno Spoerri’s DIY electronica. The 45 comes in its original colour paper sleeve shown featuring information from the TV documentary on the then freakishly fashionable Bermuda Triangle.
Rare and supremely funky, this 45 doesn’t show up much these days. Here’s your chance to pick up a true oddball Funk Grail in great condition with that fantastic colour sleeve intact.
