Over the next several months we have the pleasure of listing a spectacular vinyl collection of over 6000 LP's. This collection consisting of mostly Jazz but also Blues, Folk ,Rock, Soundtracks and Classical was kept in amazing condition. Most of the records were played once, transferred to tape for listening and then stored away in cliplock sealed bags in specially made cupboards. The overall condition of this collection is sublime to say the least and whatever items I list as Near Mint you can be assured that it was probaly only ever played once!! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some of the lovely jazz & rock titles I have listed, these are just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope you enjoy seeing these listings as much as I have in offering them.
The first album (1970) for Sydney psych-rock icons Tully were the biggest band in Sydney, famed for their towering, organ driven rock pyrotechnics. Their debut album veers between Procol Harum-esque rock numbers and farsighted sound experiments. Within a year, the band had discovered Meher Baba and transformed into the serene folk-psych outfit heard over their next two albums. Guitarist Ken Firth & Flute player Richard Lockwood would guest on the psyche/folk rarity Extradition a few years late. In fact this album is from the same collection as the Extradition album I listed some months ago and is in similar condition. Stunning!!
Tracks: You realize you realize/ La nave bleu/ Do you ever think of nothing/ The sun is shining/ Love's white dove/ The paradise of perfect silence/ Sleepy-head red/ Phssst/ Love/ Lace space/ You are the world/ Just about time/ Waltz to understanding.
There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record looks stunning no signs of scuffs or scratches at all, plays wonderfully and graded at Near Mint condition. Full gloss gatefold cover has the slightest scuffing on corners and a few minute surface tears around edges, all seams are fully intact, no sticker stains or writing anywhere. Really lovely condition. Cover is graded at near Mint.
