Tubeway Army Rare UK Blue Vinyl ST LP NM ’78 Beggars Banquet BEGA4 Post Punk
Rare Original UK Blue Vinyl LP released in 1978 on Beggars Banquet Records. Cat: BEGA 4. Limited to 5000 copies, Gatefold sleeve. Sticker on the front cover states "Special Release blue vinyl” Centre label shows a variation in the track title for A6, title given is from the sleeve, Sleeve shows track A6 as "Every Day I Die", but the centre label gives it as "Everyday I Die.” Matrix runout side A etched: BEGA+4+A2/ Matrix runout side B etched: BEGA+4+B2. Many have felt that Numan's debut disc didn't measure up to his later triumphs (1979's Replicas, 1980's Telekon, etc.), but listening to it today, you discover that it's the most underrated of all his early albums. Numan & the Tubeway Army were one of the first new wave/punk bands (along with Kraftwerk and Devo) to successfully fuse robotic synthesizers with rock & roll. Gary Numan's guitar riffing is more prominent here than on any other of his albums, which gives the tunes a splendid Ziggy Stardust feel at times.Tracks: Listen to the sirens/ My shadow in vain/ The life machine/ Friends/ Something’s in the house/ Everyday I die/ Steel and you/ My love is a liquid/ Are you real/ The dream police/ Jo the waiter/ Zero bars.
There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record is in Near Mint condition.Cover has a few tiny marks, a few tiny surface tears around edges and slight scuffing on bottom corners and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
