Tubby Hayes 1966 UK LP Fontana TL 5221 **TUBB'S TOURS**.
Great clean sleeve made of sturdy card. Laminated front which extends back over the spine and flipbacks thus protecting same.
Nothing adverse really to say about the sleeve bar some mild corner rubs and laminate creasing due to the effects of time.
Fab example and has to warrant 8.5 /10 for condition.
The flat and shiny vinyl reads 165g on the scale so is of a good weight. Both labels are clean and show evidence of a handful of plays at the spindle hole.
The playing surfaces look nice yet with a few light hairline traces and scuffs so visually I rate it 8.25 /10.
And the poly-lined inner sleeve has done a great job of protecting the disc over the years.
On my Linn / Naim hifi system I hear some pops and ticks on the dead bands between tracks which improved after I cleaned the needle! Otherwise it sounds pretty good to my ears so I'm plumbing for 8.5 /10 with regard to aural quality.
