~~ John Tropea is a great guitarist with a long history, starting with guest spots on Eumir Deodato records and progressing into collaborations with Laura Nyro, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, & on and on. This was his second solo work with help from the Brecker brothers, Don Grolnick, Mike Mainieri, Steve Gadd, etc. Try not to strut too hard once this track gets going. Mucho space dust provided by funky guitar and bass, glittery synths , punchy horns and a tight percussion unit. Why do you think he named this '77 gem Short Trip to Space ....
