Description
UK CBS 64168 by Trees: On The Shore. 1970 band recorded in London. The cover is intact, clean, sparkling, with no splits or tears. Very narrow and faint rubwear lines, st top center and bottom center, only visible when the cover is tilted back and forth under strong light. Cover is overall very newish looking. Corners top left, right and lower right, have very tiny, pencil point or smaller, wear on the corner tips. Lower left corner has 1/2 inch shelf wear and rubbing on the bottom edge. Cover design, photos, and tinting by HIPGNOSIS. Disc is in original UK CBS advert inner sleeve. The labels look new, unmarked. No spindle marks, but it has been played. The vinyl on both sides is consistently mirror like, throughout it's unmarred expanse. So beautiful to see a record of this vintage, with vinyl so new looking. It's almost perfect. On side 1, there is a small section of very faint 1/2 inch paper scuffs, in a 2 inch area along track two. Also, there's a section of the same very faint paper scuffs, along 1 inch of the leadin deadwax. Here thye don't appear to continue into the grooves. These few very fine paper scuffs are evident only under very close scrutiny, by tilting the record back and forth under strong light. They don't sound. Overall a superb condition copy of Trees: On The Shore. Grade M-. From the collection of a local musician/collector who bought records new, beginning over 40 years ago, played them very carefully and very little, and filed them away in his archive.
