Description
Traffic Sound - Meshkalina/ Simple
(Mag Peru 1969)
Record Condition: G. Lots of marks but plays surprisingly well on the A side. B side plays bad and even jumped on my system. Labels show wear - see scans.
Wild and drugged-drenched Peruvian psych masterpiece with Inca chanting, mad fuzz guitar and brass tussles on the Peruvian Mag label from 1969. This is the unique 45 version. Just check out the lyrics! - "He said, man let's fly, let's try a new substance. We were having fun even though we were dying, let me die meshkalina". While the A side plays well, despite the visual condition, the B side does not and it played with heavy noise and even skipped on my system. It may play better on yours or benefit from a clean, but I must grade the B side as bad. Happily, it's a pretty boring song in comparison to the A side. I have uploaded the A side to Youtube - listen below.

I have been told I have to start selling off the majority of my collection. Apparently boxes and boxes of records are neither a good use of space, nor aesthetically pleasing. I disagree with both those opinions, but only under my breath. So for a quiet life I am offering the bulk of my collection accumulated over a 30 odd year period in batches of 20 or so a week over the coming months all starting at £2.50. I have always been much more interested in the obscure and the peculiar, particularly from the golden age of pop/rock - the late 60s and early 70s. So listed are many curios, obscurities and rarities I have found over the years, many demos and small labels. Musically they range from pure pop through to beat and psych, prog, folk and rock. I have upped my game recently and will now be uploading my 45s to Youtube so you can actually hear and see the 45s you will be bidding on.
Grading
M-: As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.
EX: Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks visible under bright light, but no scratches or deterioration in sound.
VG+: Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing feelable that could cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.
VG: Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
