Description

This is yet another very rare and classic original LP vinyl record, in this case a very fine original Poppy release copy from 1971 of "HIGH, LOW, AND IN BETWEEN", issued as Number PYS-5700, by Poppy Records, and a really cool and eccentric effort from one of the great singer-songwriters of the era, Townes Van Zandt, with support from a range of great studio pros and jazz players including the amazing Larry Carlton on guitar, Harvey Newmark on Bass, Don Randi on Piano and other instruments, and so on, engineered by Jerry Barnes, and arranged by Randi as well...the lp is in beautiful condition, nice and shiny and clean, and shows only the faintest of surface blems and one very faint surface scratch, still protected in the original Poppy Label paper sleeve, and the cover is in generally very good condition, showing some minor edgewear and a bit of light scuffing and soiling to the borders, relatively minor at that....a real beauty in any event, and a true rarity in the field.....sorry about the reflections and blurring in some of my scans and photos...please feel free to email me with any questions, and I'll do my best to provide a satisfactory response.....this is part of a series of unusual art and photography books including rare early issues of I.-D. fashion magazines that I'll be listing this week, along with other collectibles and antique items, rare Jimi Hendrix, Zappa, and other vintage lp recordings, vintage magazines and bulletins, and other items of ephemera including vintage photographs, programs, and rare and unusual books and magazines relating to Fashion, Hollywood Memorabilia, Natural History, Machinery and Mechanics, Science, Geology, Art, Aviation, and other subjects of great interest (take your pick), that I'll be listing over the next couple of weeks at whipplesbooks on ebay.
