One of the defining pop-rock albums of the 1980s, Toto IV is the record that transformed Toto from respected musicians’ musicians into full-blown hitmakers.
This original 1982 Terre Haute pressing remains housed in the original shrink with hype sticker intact and includes the classic run of massive singles that dominated radio and MTV alike — Rosanna, Africa, I Won’t Hold You Back and Make Believe.
Behind the polished hooks and radio success is an unbelievably talented group of session musicians operating at an absurdly high level. The musicianship throughout the album is incredible, blending rock, jazz, pop and progressive influences with pristine production and huge melodic songwriting.
The album went on to win 6 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, while Rosanna earned Record of the Year honors.
