Description upon release:
We’ve been following Mackenzie’s career since she came out of nowhere with her incredible debut album in 2013. Since then, we’ve gotten to watch as she’s come into her own as an artist both on stage and in the studio. After diving deep into Sprinter, we feel like we’re witnessing the emergence of one of the great artists of our generation...someone who combines the emotional intensity of PJ Harvey with the melodic sophistication of St. Vincent.
After a debut album that earned much critical acclaim, her sophomore follow-up is a major step forward and one that places Torres in a different stratosphere of artists.
Bottom line - we're in love with this album and think that it's one that will richly reward the listener who is willing to dive deep and give it the time it deserves to take root....preferably at night, alone with your thoughts & a good drink ;)
