Tori Amos: YKTR The Big Picture/YGTMH Commercial 7 inch

Next to the longbox, this was as hard as it got for me on collecting YKTR stuff.  This is the ONLY stock copy of The Big Picture 7" I ever owned.  The promo copies were easier to come by, but this commercial release was a challenge.

Sleeve: this is the basic white, Atlantic Records sleeve with the hole in the middle.  It's in really nice condition. 

Vinyl: The vinyl is mint.  I am reluctant to use that term, but you will be amazed at how amazing the vinyl is for an 18 year old record.  I venture to guess it was never played.  I've owned if for a decade or so and never have. 

The iten has been housed in 2 protective sleeves since I obtained it way back when.  For more on me and my forthcoming Tori auctions, please read below.

Long story short, I will be auctioning off some of the better items. There is a lot of standard stuff out there being offered. My auctions will focus on stuff from the YKTR- Boys for Pele era. I’m going to do this over a period of time and I’m not sure how fast I’ll conduct the auctions. You might just check back every week or so, that way you won’t miss anything. You can click on "advanced search" from the ebay homepage (in the upper right hand corner) and then, when the screen pulls up, click "Items by Seller" on the left-hand side and enter my ebay username (scottandteatske). This will pull up all of my auctions.

Note: I am not set up to take paypal. If it makes you feel any better, check my feedback and look specifically at the feedback left by delores907 and lowb1970. These folks bought my Carvis bass amp and Carvin 5-string, respectively, and each sent me about $1,000.00 money order and received everything exactly as promised. In fact, I bit the bullet on shipping the bass amp, because it had to go to Alaska. It cost me almost $400 to ship to her! But I did so because the error was my own (I never thought about shipping to ALASKA!). Bottom line, you do your part & I’ll do mine.

A Bit about Me

NOTE: This is the same background for each of my TORI AMOS auctions. If you’ve read it once, there’s nothing new. I just place it here for the person who is finding one of my TORI AMOS auctions for the first time.

I started following Tori Amos back in ’91, just before a picture of her and I was featured in a local paper on the East Coast. We’ve met numerous times and I’ve seen her live repeatedly, sometimes twice in a night (Houston, TX). I began massively collecting "everything Tori." I had a strong contact in England with Robyn Evans of the Take to the Sky UK fanzine. Kamram from Spellbound Records in England would "hold" things and check with me first before selling them. I had suppliers throughout the U.S. refer to me as the "Tori guy." The same thing would happen. People would just hold things for me, mainly because I bought everything. When 37 "Y Kant Tori Read" promo posters were discovered in an attic in a music store in the mid-west, the owner called me first. I had never spoken to him before! I bought them all. I once sat front row at a show and held up a copy of the "Y Kant Tori Read" promo poster so she could see it. The look on her face evidenced that she was about to have a "Heart Attack at 23," if only she were still 23. It was a riot! I asked her to sign a copy of a "Cool On Your Island" 7" with "Myra Ellen," rather than "Tori," and she did! At the time, I believe that was the only item she had ever signed that way. Early on, I supplied Discography content to the folks at Really Deep Thoughts, one of the U.S. fanzines. I collected so much, and had a keen attention to detail, that I was able to identify and catalogue all the different versions of various items (different countries, artwork, labeling, misprints, etc.). I established a contact in Maryland from whom I obtained a copy of Baltimore, that they had gotten from a church auction. Tori contributed the 45 to help raise funds for an addition to their church. After a few beers with them, I drove by her childhood house and visited her parents apartment. I’ve been to her high school, seeking a copy of her yearbook. No luck.  I could go on and on, but you get the point.  These are items that have been buried in my collection for a decade or more!!!
