Ok, Remember very earliest press of this title is on the Pink/Bullseye label. What we have, here, is the very next offering just a couple of months later - summer 1969. Textured PINK label -- they hit the market straight afterwards and with an identical 1st cut of the audio....A2/B2. So, these copies might be second in line -- but they are pretty much identical from an audio perspective...just a couple of months wit the same audio cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original GATEFOLD cover printed by EJ Day. Nice!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side, one superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least Excellent level of playback. So, if you can live with the fact it's not a Day1 pressing... were are still very close onto the original masters with an identical 1st cut. And then - it's ALL really about preservation...And for this title which shows FREE off probably at their high point...one should insist on BEST audio. And these 60's Island copies can deliver just that. The silence behind the moody plucking....the distortion in the Kossoff guitar...it's all here! And it sound totally magic. Nothing gets in the way of the audio...it just is total kick ass...
Cover (Vg+) In nice condition - surfaces look real nice. Some edge wear in places one or two spots have been sharpied to tidy it up -- but it has been done carefully. The spine is mostly intact..70%.. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Superb no splits.
