This is an auction of the rare vintage LP The Cats - with John Coltrane, Tommy Flanagan, Kenny Burrell, Idrees Sulieman, Doug Watkins and Louis Hayes - ORIGINAL PRESTIGE NEW JAZZ NJ-8217 with DG deep groove PURPLE labels. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder - 'RVG' stamped in the trailoff deadwax on each side. Excellent sound and beautiful, rare record. Very reasonable reserve based on the rarity and great condition of this record.
Record is visually graded as Mint- to VG++ with glossy vinyl - just a few super light, tiny hairlines and 1 similiar small paper scuff - NO SPINDLE MARKS- IT PLAY GRADES MINT-, cover is graded as VG++ due to slight wear at top edge, 2 small red stamps on back and a small spot of wear seen at the back lower left edge.
