Description

By 1973 pop and production wizard Todd Rundgren was ready for something different. Having taking psych and acid infused rock as far as he could with that year's masterpiece A Wizard, a True Star, on which he sung 'Wait another year, Utopia is here', he was as good as his word. 
1974 saw the debut of his progressive rock band, Utopia. Billed at the beginning as Todd Rundgren's Utopia their self-titled debut album made good and more on the progly premise. Tracks such as the live in Atlanta, Utopia, Freak Parade, and the 30 minute progathon The Ikon, showed that prog was not just a UK phenomenon. 
This US Warner Brothers promo press pack has an insightful five page artist bio, two 8x10 inch glossy promo photos, as well as a reprinted article from the Chicago Reader, Todd Rundgren: punk American style. All of which goes to show that sometimes Utopia is achievable.
