Description

  For sale is Time Square The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, originally released in 198O by RSO Records as a double album set with a gate-fold presentation. On the labels are the pressing plant codes "18" and according to the liner notes, the record was mastered by George Marino.  In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Sterling", and "(PR)", followed by the matrix numbers PW-1/PW-1/PW-1/PW-1, indicating that this record was mastered at Sterling Sound, N.Y.C., before the first stamper was used to make these albums at Presswell Records Manufacturing Corporation's pressing plant located in Ancora, New Jersey. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this album set used, professionally cleaned the records on my VPI HW-17 machine and put them into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeves are graded as Excellent because of bent, wrinkled corners. The cover is graded as Near Mint Minus with only a bent corner by the lower spine. The spine has some color loss at this corner from this blunt. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. This has been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and has a lot of life left to it. This is the best copy of this hard to find album that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a first edition in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more New Wave albums, as well as records of all different genres, in my Ebay store. Please take a look. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
