Description
You are bidding on a complete set of eleven volumes of the Time Life series entitled The Story of Great Music. These are from the collection of my wife's Grandmother, who recently passed away. They were stored properly, in a 2 level cabinet with dividers.
- The 11 volumes (44 records in all) are as follows:
- STL 140 The Romantic Era
- STL 141 Age of Elegance
- STL 142 The Opulent Era
- SLT 143 Age of Revolution SEALED
- SLT 144 The Baroque Era
- SLT 145 The Music of Today
- SLT 146 The Early Twentieth Century
- SLT 147 Prelude to Modern Music
- SLT 148 Slavic Traditions
- SLT 149 The Spanish Style
- SLT 150 From the Renaissance
Each one of these "box set"volumes includes a slipcase containing 4 records featuring various artists, and a booklet which details the contents of that volume. Each volume also features different artwork on the cover, as shown above. The photos from left to right match Volumes 140 to 150.
The best thing I can say about condition is that my wife's Grandparents were avid collectors, specializing in Early Americana with many antique pieces. They knew about preserving history. The boxes have some signs of wear, and some creasing, while the records look shiny and new. I've never sold record albums on Ebay before, so I wouldn't be surprised if I failed to explain these albums completely. Please ask any questions you may have, and I'll do my best to answer them.
Looking over Ebay currently (as of Oct. 4th), I see these The Story of Great Music albums going from anywhere from $25.00 for a single record, to about $175.00 for the complete set. I don't really know what they are worth, so I'm starting them low and letting you determine the value. This set will be sold to the high bidder, regardless of the final price.
Please note that Free Shipping only applies to USPS Media Mail. If you would like to know Priority Mail prices, just let me know your Zip Code, and I can quote you a figure. I will ship them carefully packed in either 2 or 3 boxes.
Please check my other auctions for a similar Time Life Collection entitled Concerts of Great Music.
