This album is the stuff of legends. Three monster Funk tracks with unmatched velocity and whole nations have failed to come up with as much Soul as is captured on the incomparable ballad "I Walk Alone".

I know, there have been a few copies on ebay in recent times but do some investigating and you'll find out that they were all in dubious states of condition. This is still a very rare record to find and nearly impossible to have in such nice shape as this one.

The vinyl is in VG+ condition. I bought this from a Ghanaian DJ three weeks ago who was not into Funk at all. This man loved his highlife and filed all the funk records the local labels gave him in boxes that he wanted to re-sell but somehow he forgot about them. That was until I came along and I don't have to tell you how happy I was... anyway, -I would almost give this an EX because it's really super shiny and never got played before I got my greedy hand on it but there are a few tiny, tiny marks that I would guess are pressing defaults. They look like curly scratches and they're TINY. Most of all, you can't really hear them. All Gapophone records have a few clicks here and there. This is why I recorded the entire record for you to listen to! Both sides. There are two songs on each side.


The first and maybe the most awesome track is "No Condition Is Permanent". This one doesn't have anything at all. It looks and plays stone mint. Then there's "Break through". This track has a few of those tiny marks and if you listen very closely, you might be able to hear a tiny pit of a click here and there that gets downed by the vicious lava-like funk that is Marijata.

Side Two starts of with a ballad but hey, make no mistake! This is one hell of a ballad. If you don't dig this, there's something wrong with you, emotionally I mean. Again, there re a few of these tiny marks and because it's a more quiet song, you might be able to hear a soft, soft click here and there. Second track on this side "We Live In Peace" is anther scorching Funk track and it's clean... as clean as it gets. No marks here at all. I'm dead serious, this is an awesome copy. I'm only going to great lengths to describe this just so there are no second thoughts and no room for doubts that you will be very, very happy to own this record. Even if you will have to pay a truck load of money for it.

This is a white label promo copy! The previous owner has written the song titles and signed his name on there. Just so everything has its order and then he had packed the record away for the next 35 years.

The Cover also has a signature on the front. there are no tears, a few wrinkles but that's it. No seam splits. This just looks amazing!

By the way. This is the only record I know of that has its mouth on the bottom of the cover. maybe this is one of the reasons why this record is so ridiculously tough to find. Because it easily fell out the bottom when someone picked it up. Don't let this happen to you!
