Description

An original 1st press in the UK from 1961 on BRUNSWICK. Matrix 1B/1B. 1K/1U - making this copy one of the 1st evert to hit the UK market. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition particularly given the vintage. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Remember, this is predominantly paired down very fussy low-key audio...only a truly well preserved copy will stand half a chance of really top rendition. And this copy will not disappoint. Plays clean throughout - very impressive. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side.
Cover (Vg+) Given the vintage pretty impressive. The front is clean and flat and unaged. A couple of minor thumbnail creases - that's all. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process. Please note it looks like someone's managed to clean-off some writing. It seems to have worked pretty well, but there's still some light evidence in places. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Very little edge wear and nice sharp firm openings. Spine is in excellent order. Excellent rigidity too.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
