Description
The Beatles "Yesterday and Today"
This album cover was so shocking and controversial that Capitol Records had to replace it with the more mainstream "Trunk Cover". This was originally released in 1966 and is simply referred to as the "Butcher Cover" Note these are not really babies, but dolls. This LP cover is framed in a black plastic frame, dimensions are 19 inches by 19 inches, double matted (cream and black matting) with glass (the glare from the glass makes it difficult to take a "great" photo. The back of the frame has been opened to confirm the album is complete and not just a print or reproduction - it is real. There is a slight wear on the edges; however, no tape or attempts to repair the cover has been made keeping this a valuable authentic piece of Beatle history. The Trunk Cover had been placed cover the Butcher cover and this is one of those "peeled" away covers.
