Rare early Third Man limited colour vinyl pressing from 2010.
As all collectors will know Jack White started TMR in 2009 and quickly developed a reputation for a label which was innovative both in terms of artists recorded but also in the pressing of vinyl. Therefore a few of the early TMR pressings were released in very small numbers in limited colour vinyl deluxe pressings which were at that time only available from the TMR shop front in Nashville.
This is one of the early limited releases. In 2010 TMR recorded legendary Rock'n'Roll pioneer Wanda Jackson for the LP "The Party Ain't Over" TMR 031. The limited release here was pressed on Pink marbled vinyl. In addition it was given gatefold sleeve with a "greeting card" chime that would play the first bars of "Shakin All Over" as the gatefold is opened. The pressing was limited I believe to approx. 150 copies. All sold out immediately. Also the earliest copies of this limited press included a Hatch screen print of the show poster for her concert at TMR to launch the album. I believe only 50 or so included this.
Therefore, we have a rare album with even rarer extras! The album has been opened and not still in shrink but the original title sticker from the shrink is retained and included as shown. The album is mint and only played once. Sleeve and Inner as EX to Mint - some light handling wear. The gatefold still operates but battery has gone in chime so no longer plays I am afraid but after 9 years it would be hard to find one that still does! Lovely rare impossible to find item in near mint to mint condition - almost as new! Selling as I am focussing less on the rare TMR stuff other than Jack White and White Stripes. Hopefully another TMR fan will give this a good home! Will be sent in proper TMR mailer
