Description
Riverside 12-201 Original record with white label, light blue banner, black text. Moderately deep groove on both sides. Leader, Monk, piano; Oscar Pettiford, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums. Recorded in New Jersey in 1956. 8 tracks. Very rare original issue.
Cover: VG(-) Narrow band of scotch tape along 3 edges. The tape may have been applied for protection rather than repair as no splits are noticeable. Some scuff marks on the front cover and light aging on the back cover.
Record: VG++ Visually shows no wear. There are a small number of very light, short surface rub marks. Overall the surface has a clean condition. A few , short intervals of light groove noise. Some crackles at the beginning of Track 1, Side 2 for several revolutions and few clicks at the beginning of Track 4, Side 2 along with some light groove noise at the end of Track 4, Side2 with 1 or 2 clicks. Otherwise, fine condition. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
