Description
This is an auction of a GREAT VERY RARE VINTAGE JAZZ LP - Thelonious Monk Quintets - Monk - with laminated ANDY WARHOL COVER design - PRESTIGE PLP-7053 MONO 1st PRESSING with 446 E.50th NYC DEEP GROOVE LABELS and a hand etched "RVG" (recording by Rudy Van Gelder) seen in the trailoff deadwax. With SONNY ROLLINS and other greats.
Record is visually graded as VG++ with a small amount of light marks but BIDDERS NOTE: SIDE 1 plays VG++ to VG+ with some background noise in spots and SIDE 2 plays mostly VG+ with slight surface noise, laminated cover is VG++ with some aging discoloration on the back at the left edge.
