Thelonious Monk "Brilliant Corners" original LP, Riverside # 12-226, mono
This auction is for an original copy of the jazz album "Brilliant Corners" by Thelonious Monk. Sesssion features Sonny Rollins, Max Roach, Clark Terry, and Paul Chambers among others. Record is the deep groove blue and white Riverside "reel and mic" Bill Grauer Productions label. Album is an original and was obtained along with many other 50s and early 60s jazz records. Vinyl is NM and appears unplayed except for one very small scuff that does not affect play with plenty of shine and gloss. Glossy jacket is VG++ with some light storage wear and some minor corner damage on upper right entry. There is also what appears to be a manufacturing defect above Monk's head in middle (please see photo below). Record has been stored outside of jacket since finding this LP. Please see photo below. An very nice copy of this hard to find jazz LP. Will ship well packed in cardboard record mailer.
