Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 166, Thelonious Monk Quintet Blows For LP Featuring Sonny Rollins, a blue & silver, deep groove, 446 W. 50th St. NYC label, original mono 10" issue of this classic record. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+), showing marks on both sides but playing with no skips and very little distortion. There are moments where some light background crackle is audible mostly at the beginning and end of a side. This is not a major distraction and the record plays beautifully. The cover has a small label tear on the front but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show only light spindle marks. Inner and outer sleeves will be included as well. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful original mono issue.
