Description
Their Satanic Majesties Request - The Rolling Stones - Mono. TXL 103. Decca 1967. First pressing, label has large print "Decca" logo without the box.
Matrix on side one : ARL-8126-T2-3K also stamped 1 and 1.1
Matrix on side two : ARL-8127-T2-2K also stamped 1 and B
Both sides also have the KT tax stamp on the run off.
Vinyl is near mint, when scrutinized in the light some brush marks can be seen on side one, side two is perfect.
Record plays nearly mint. About 95% of this record is pure Stones with no background noise at all. There is the odd click (very quiet), and thats about it. Only two tunes on side two have very slight "static" in some places, this is very, very quiet and hardly notices. This record has been barely played and sounds beautiful.
Cover is the gatefold type with the hologram stuck to the front. In excellent plus condition. No damage, just a couple of very light creases on two corners. Spine is straight and crisp with no creases. Open edge crisp with no bumps. Bottom right front corner has a tiny little fold. Inside gatefold has only one mark, on the left side where the "maze" is, you may be able to remove it. There is very slight discolouration on the very most edges, the photos should all of show this, I can send more if requested.
Original "red with white bits" inner sleeve. Excellent plus, no marks, tears or creases. Just a light ripple on the bottom two corners and the lightest bumping on the open edge. Strong colours. Very light rim mark from record.
I will shed a tear when this one sells.
I am not a dealer but seem to be selling a lot of vinyl lately, I describe as honestly as I can and playtest every album, check my feedback for assurance. (I use the Record Collector grading system.) I will happily send more photos or information if requested. I'm getting towards the end of my Parents record collection now, just a few more Beatles and Stones to go.(a relief really, very time consuming.)
