Description

Original 1968 U.S. stereo pressing of The Zombies – Odessey and Oracle on Date Records (TES 4013).

Early first-generation pressing featuring:
• Green Date labels
• Stereo pressing
• Matrix numbers:
• Side 1: XSM 137383-1A
• Side 2: XSM 137384-1A

These 1A stampers indicate an early lacquer cut from the original mastering.

A highly collectible psychedelic pop classic featuring “Time of the Season.”

Condition: Sleeve: VG+ / Vinyl: VG

Outer sleeve presents very nicely with strong color and solid structure. Light edge and corner wear consistent with age. No major splits or significant damage. Please review photos closely, as they are part of the description.

Vinyl retains excellent gloss with light sleeve scuffs and a few very minor hairlines, primarily on Side 2. Visually presents closer to VG+, but graded VG conservatively due to light background surface noise, most noticeable in quieter passages. Playback remains strong and enjoyable throughout with no pops or skips.

Original Columbia “Superposter” inner sleeve included. Inner sleeve has approximately 3” splits on two sides and a small tear at the top.

*Playback & Grading Notes

This record was visually inspected and play-tested on a recently serviced Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable equipped with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus. Playback quality may vary depending on your individual setup, including cartridge type, stylus condition, tracking force, and speaker system.
Vinyl is graded conservatively under strong light using the Goldmine Standard (Sleeve / Vinyl). While I do my best to note any flaws, vintage records may have minor pops or surface noise even those in excellent condition. Promo copies, older pressings, or those with original inner sleeves may also include factory or storage-related imperfections.
