Description

The Zombies - Begin Here - Decca Mono LP LK4679 1st Pressing

Matrix Side 1  ARL-6709-1A    Side 2   ARL-6710-1A

The first album by one of Britain's most underrated bands. This album is an extremely rare and sought after item. Unfortunately it is not in the best of shape. The album cover was covered by a protective layer of polythene for many years. Unluckily the sellotape holding the cover in place has degenerated and left residue across tracks 1 and the start of track 2 on side one and across track 1 on side 2. This makes those tracks unplayable. I do not know if there are any solvents available that will clean this residue off.

Vinyl: Apart from the residue as described above there are minor scratches and scuffs on both sides but the tracks unaffected by residue play excellently.

Labels: Original Decca red and silver with recess. Side one has residue from two small labels that have been removed. Two names are printed small and neat on both sides.

Dustcover: Not the original. This is an old MFP dust cover with split bottom seam and creased.

Cover: Front retains a high gloss but has areas of laminate blisterwhich can be seen in the photo. Back cover also has photo shown. This has the retailer's twice rubber stamped address, a handwritten price and a reference number. Seams and spine are in very good condition.

Track Listing: Side 1  Road Runner(unplayable), Summertime(beginning unplayable), I can't make up my mind, The way I feel inside, Work 'n play, You've really got a hold on me, She's not there. Side 2  Sticks and stones (unplayable), Can't nobody love you, Woman, I dont want to know, I remember when I loved her, What more can I do, I got my mojo working.

I am not a dealer. I am a private seller gradually disposing of my vinyl collection.  Please note that, whilst it is rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post I am unable to accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the postal services. Whilst I am happy to provide help, advice and proof of postage, all such claims remain the responsibility of the buyer.
