"''The Big Beat reissue is culled from analog tapes found at Abbey Road. The stereo mix comes from a two-track master tape, dated January 1968. A full mono master could not be located, so the mono album was pieced together from production tapes of mono mixes and mono master tapes of singles extracted from the album. The disc's compilers were careful to A/B these mixes against an original mono LP to ensure that the correct versions were being used.''

It was mastered for LP for Ray Staff ("RAYS") who is very highly regarded in the mastering business in the UK.
