The Who - Live At Leeds ( MISPRESSED VERSION !.. Red stamp on front but black text on inside gatefold . All 12 inserts. " Tuesdays At The Marquee " poster. A1/B1 very first pressing 2406001 Track Record ). Legendary Who rarity . The very rarely sighted MISPRESS with red stamp on front and black text inside gatefold. Tiny amount of these were mistakenly pressed up in 1970 on the cusp of the change from black print to red print.
Far and away the rarest variation of this legendary live album. Get it while you can !!..... Rough brown " paper " cover is in pretty nice shape considering the fragile nature of the construction, inevitable browning at the spine and the opening edges. But that's about it. Nice and clean. No rips tears or writing. " PROMOTIONAL COPY - NOT FOR SALE " sticker on top right rear. Staples all intact and in situ. Very slight front creasing. Strong VERY GOOD PLUS . All 12 original inserts are present plus the all important ORIGINAL matt poster with the MARQUEE wording not LIVE AT LEEDS which appeared on all later pressings . Inserts are all EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT. Customised labels show practically no signs of use. Very clean indeed . EX PLUS. Medium weight vinyl lies flat on the platter. A1/B1 matrices offering very best sound quality from original first generation master tape. Some sleeve removal fine lines seen under spotlight but nothing intrusive. Fine hairline on Side 2 but very light not affecting play. Playing surfaces still gleam. Incredible dynamic sound quality far superior to all subsequent releases. Disc EXCELLENT.
