Description

An original TRACK UK press from 1974 - just three years from 1st release. Matrix 4/4. The Who upped sticks and left Track in 1974 -> around the time this LP would have been issued. The vinyl comes housed in a shiny back and front Clout and Baker cover. If you like your Lps with a 'straight from the shop look and listen' - this Lp might be of interest you.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I'm struggling to make out more than a couple of superficial marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. A beautifully clean player which, in reality, is not that far from those original masters. If you like your Lps to play real clean then do seriously consider this one. The ARP Synthesizer notes at the start of 'Baba' is difficult to find playing clean on nearly all copies, as are the piano notes that kick off 'Getting In Tune' - but this example delivers them clean. It's not perfectly clean all the way through - there are a few minor static crackles in the intro to 'Song Is Over'. But by and large this copy delivers superb power and authority with very little background at all. Sweet!
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A total pain to find the original copies in great condition due to the absence of lamination. But these C&B copies from a couple of years later have the surfaces protected. And look at the difference! This thing looks like you've whipped it straight outta the packet. Back and front are totally mint looking. Flat, shiny, unmarked and uncreased. There's literally no edge wear observable and the openings are still sharp. The corners are all still pointed with no dings. The spine is 100% intact - pretty much perfect.
