Description

An original 1st press of Who's Next on the UK Track label from 1971. Matrix 1/2. Etching 'MG12888'. Please note labels are matt and flat, NOT shiny and ridged - as per 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 'Marketed by Polydor' MacNeill cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we can barely make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is very very minor indeed. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments [e.g. momentarily right at the start of side 1]. Even in a lot of the low-key sections this is a superbly quiet player and clearly low-mileage. In summary - it's a blindingly good rendition and one that would be hard to equal, let alone better.
Cover (Ex) In really impressive condition and has clearly been very carefully looked after down the years. A very clean front with barely a single crease and no signs of scuffing or ageing. The rear is in superb shape too with only super-light handling - far far less than you typically find. There's very little edge wear at all which is extremely unusual for this title, and the openings are still sharp. The text on the spine is all still legible - with precious little wear at all. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Wow!
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing, bit no splits.
