The Who - Tommy LP (UK original FIRST PRESS, RARE!!  VG+ vinyl, Track) 

This is an original double LP by The Who called Tommy, released in the UK by Track Records in 1969.  

This is a true original first pressing on original Track labels.  This item is extremely rare and even rarer to find in decent condition.  

VINYL:  VG+      The records have some faint paper marks (not too many), some light hairlines and a few light surface marks.  The light surface marks look nothing more than slightly more visible scuffs but it all depends on what you would call scuffs I guess.  These marks cannot be felt but will likely give you a little light crackle here and there.   Otherwise, the vinyl has not lost any of it's original factory shine!  

LABELS:  EX       The original Track labels have stunning matte black colouring and no ridges.  There are some faint spindle marks but that's about it.   On the left side, under the catalogue number, is printed "DOUBLE ALBUM"  and below that, "(Record 1)"  and "(Record 2)" etc.   There is no printing below the 33 1/3 on the other side.   Thus indicating for sure this is a first issue.   The matte labels have no rubbing marks and the typeface on both sets are in perfect condition. 

BOOKLET:  EX-     The booklet is quite nice with only very slight corner wear and some very faint, very tiny brown spotting.   The booklet is numbered and this is number 34426

SLEEVE:  VG+     This one is hard to judge.  It's probably best described as a VERY strong VG+.   It does not have any major issues such as splits or heavy wear but it has several smaller issues.  I am very conservatively grading just so no one is disappointed.   

That said, the sleeve is very nice on first glance.  It is a first issue sleeve with tri-folding gatefold panels and is fully laminated on the outer surfaces.   Usually, this sleeve suffers because the first two panels of the gatefold are thin card and both records are put into the bottom panel, in the same pocket.  The thinner panels get quite bent and worn over time.  These panels are actually quite nice with only some very light corner/edge wear and some tiny crease marks around the edges (normal for most older sleeves).  There is a thin line of laminate lift along the spine on the front and a crack/scrape on the spine (NOT SPLIT THROUGH) which is about 1cm long.   The inner panel has some very light laminate pinpricks related to age only. 

On the inside, there is a small tear in the edge of the pocket which holds the records.  (Not surprising, really) 

There is virtually no surface wear, no sticker marks, writing or stains.

POSTAGE COSTS/TIME:   Ebay is not my primary employment and therefore I cannot get to the post office every day.  I will post within 5 business days of cleared payment.  Please make sure you are happy to wait at least 6 days (UK) for your item before bidding.   I do not post on weekends or holidays.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery which is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.     With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
