In May 1981, Polydor released PHASES (Polydor 2675 216, no US release). Although technically a UK release, all copies of this nine-LP box set project were manufactured in West Germany. The set included MY GENERATION, A QUICK ONE, THE WHO SELL OUT, TOMMY, LIVE AT LEEDS, WHO'S NEXT, QUADROPHENIA, THE WHO BY NUMBERS and WHO ARE YOU.
