The Who - My Generation UK 1965 1st Press Brunswick Mono LP

Stamper codes: 2B/A & 2I/BU
This 1st UK mono pressing of their debut studio album dates from initial December 1965 release. It is on the on the Decca pressed 'deep-grooved' silver & black Brunswick label.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is also stamped into each run-out.
Housed within a front laminated 'Robert Stace' printed cover, complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
Clean & unblemished labels with just a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Clean playing surfaces which retain a bright deep-gloss shine. A few light non feelable scuffs and marks side 1 (VG+) and unmarked on side 2 (EX)when viewed in strong daylight.
Sound Quality: EX
This is a wonderful sounding copy. All tracks play well without any skips or jumps. Only light background crackle in quitest sections.
A playback at volume detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no ticks, clicks or any other audible disturbance.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this fragile and easily blemished cover which retains a vivid, unfaded front bearing just a few light creases sand a handful of tiny spine wrinkles. There is minor shelf wear and corner bruising but no noticeable damage. The exposed rear panel is clean & white and free from any significant marks or wear.
Both seams are unstressed & unsplit and the spine wording is all present and readable.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with minor age.toning and a few gentle storage bends but no writing, tears or splits to any seam.
