COVER
This is the original Robert Stace laminated front,matt rear cover.Unlike most of these examples, this one has survived very well for such a popular album cover like this.The front panel is very clean and bright with no laminate peeling and just a couple of small bubbles and stress creases to fault ! The spine is also in nice shape with fully readable text present with no wear or cracks.The corners are still square in shape and sharp with just a hint of wear.The vulnerable white back is still very clean and bright with no writing, stickers or nasty grubby marks and just a tiny nik on the edge to faul. It's become very difficult to find an original as clean as this as most have alot of writing and grubby handling marks ! Overall a very clean example which would grace any collection ( see-pics ) EXCELLENT CONDITION !
VINYLBoth sides have a lovely glossy shine and allthough in the pictures they look unmarked , they are not !!! both sides have quite alot of surcaes marks, light scratch marks and dinks ! and allthough there are quiet afew to each side it still shines and looks presentable. As like most of these durable 60s records , both sides play through remarkably well, no jumps or skips ! yes there's a couple of light clicks and some crackle can be heard from time to time but nothing that spoils the overall audio experience and it's still a pleasure to listen to this Milestone Classic of British Music !.It has seen alot of use and has the marks to prove this but it's still a very nice sounding example and certainley not a beat up / totally trashed example, like some that are offered. ( see-pics ) Visualy VERY GOOD MINUS and Audibly VERY GOOD PLUS CONDITION
LABELS Earliest issued labels with the inverted matrix numbers, deep grooved matt varaints. Both in very clean shape and not spoilt with writing, stickers or stains and just some faint spindle traces around each centre hole to fault ! otherwise very bright and presentable set ( see-pics ) EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION ! INNER Inner has some creases, toning etc ( see-pics ) ALL IN ALL ! A SUPERB COVER AND A NICE SOUNDING EXAMPLE OF THIS CLASSIC UK 1st PRESSING WITH CLEAN LABELS ! JUST LET DOWN A LITTLE BY THE VISABLE SURFACE MARKS.
