Description

The Who - My Generation

(Brunswick LAT 8616 UK Mono LP 1965)

This is a UK 1st LP pressing. It has a front laminated sleeve which is printed by "Robert Stace". It comes with its original generic polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & silver "Brunswick" labels. These are grooved also. The matrix numbers & mother stampesr are as follows.

Side 1: MG-10256-1B (C 2)
Side 2: MG-10257-1B (M 1)

This is a genuine UK Mono 1st pressing. It has the earliest matrix numbers. A classic mid 1960's Mod/ UK R'n'B/ Freakbeat LP. This is a very serviceable copy overall. These are rare nowadays.

Sleeve: There is some mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or more moderate foxing & finger tip staining on the rear sleeve. There is some light or very mild fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable overall. There are 3 or 4 very small hairline creases at the spine area. These are very small & measure from 0.5 cm to 1 cm in length. One of these creases has caused a pin-head sized bit of rubbing wear on the "G" on the spine text. Otherwise, the spine text is completely legible. There is a 11 cm mild or very mild crease that goes through the sleeve. This is at the top opening area. It is not too noticeable overall. There is a smaller 4 cm crease at the top spine area. This, again, goes through the sleeve, but is not too noticeable. There is mild, very mild or more moderate ringwear. Overall, Very Good minus condition

Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There is a 3 cm area of more moderate surface rub marks on Side 1. There is one very light 2.5 cm surface hairline mark. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some mild, very mild or more moderate dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. There is one tiny pin-prick sized surface mark on one side. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Very Good++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree, This is only really notices in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music. The music still shines through! Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.
