Description
Japan Polydor MP 2110, 1970. Original Pressing complete with all Inserts. G/F Sleeve VG+ to VG++ no tears, splits, or writing. Downgraded for some brown acid spotting and light yellowing on one edge. OBI M-, Vinyl and Labels M-, inserts VG++ to M-. Lyric Inner sleeve VG++. This is complete with eight Inserts, knowledgeable Who Fans will say wait a minute there were 12 Inserts issued, true but not for Japan because three of the inserts are over sized and have two documents printed on them versus they being separate on the USA / UK pressing. (see last three photos.) So essentially this Japanese pressing is now up to 11 Inserts. I have yet to find a Japanese copy of LAL with a Poster. And over the years I have read on a couple occasions none was issued including on Japanese Vinyl Collectors Sites. If anyone can document otherwise I'd be interested to see a photo.
I have found old Auction results for this LP going back a dozen or more years and found one UK Dealer selling multiple copies of this LP with anything from 8 to 12 Inserts. My personal opinion is that those inserts were pieced together with UK Inserts added. And possible in the case of the copy that sold with 12 inserts, they were probably all UK Inserts. This has been in my collection for over 20 years.
