Description
For your consideration...
Up for auction is the EXTREMELY RARE White Stripes Icky Thump Mono Edition pressed exclusively for the first Third Man Records Vault offering. Also Included in this offering is the EQUALLY RARE Dead Weather 7" single "Forever My Queen" b/w "Outside", that was part of the original Vault package. This grades a solid NM and comes in its original Third Man Records paper sleeve which I have stored in a resealable poly sleeve as well. Since my acquiring of this album it has been stored in a climate controlled environment with both of the LP's stored separately in the their own poly lined inner sleeves and then placed in their own cardboard jackets and kept outside of the original jacket to avoid any issues with seem splitting and/or excessive handling of the jacket. All of these components were then placed in a resealable poly sleeve (which was, as is the case with all of my albums, utilized upon its arrival home). Please see the included pictures and feel free to contact me with any and all questions with regards to this item before bidding. I will make the attempt to return with you as immediately as possible. Thank you for your interest!!!

Grade*(Jacket/I.S./A/B/C/D): VG with EX+ features/NM/EX+/EX+/NM/NM
Notes: The Jacket is virtually flawless except for some light edge wear at the opening side and top and bottom of the spine whereas the back portion of the gatefold jacket appears to have the slightest of seam splits (maybe a half an inch) at the top right at the opening. This is the reason for it being noted as "VG with EX+ features". Also there is a slight abrasion to the back of the jacket directly above Meg and Jack and a corner of the seal appears to have been "dog eared" and then folded back flat. The seal has been torn in a relatively uniform fashion appearing to have been done perhaps with a letter opener leaving it without any distracting damage. Side "Uno" has a couple slight, but visually noticeable straight contact marks on the song "Icky Thump" that have little to no bearing on the sound quality. Side "Dwa" has a couple contact marks located on the bands "Bone Broke" and "Prickly Thorn, But Slightly Worn", again causing little if any distraction to the overall listening experience due to the raw nature of the music. Sides "Three" and "Fower" are virtually spotless and play beautifully. Also included is the original shipping mailer from Third Man Records.

***All unsealed/used record albums are shipped outside of their original jackets and inner sleeves and in a new poly lined inner sleeve and then inserted into a cardboard dust jacket. Once this is done they are then either inserted into a resealable, crystal clear, poly sleeve together, or in the case of double, triple, etc. albums the records and jackets are separated into multiple bags, and then properly placed, using mailer pads or bubble wrap, and sealed in a mailer. New/sealed records are shipped in a resealable, crystal clear, poly sleeve and then placed in a mailer in the same fashion as described for unsealed or used albums.***
*I use a grading system based on the Goldmine Grading Standard. I visually grade both sides of the record, the jacket, and the inner sleeve (if applicable) separately, under a bright light.
These are the grades I use:
Still Sealed (SS) = A new record, sealed in its original shrink-wrap.
Near Mint (NM) = Vinyl is near perfect. Possibly unplayed. At most, a light scuff appears on the record, but it should play without any noise or skips. The record sleeve should also be near perfect with only minor signs of wear. There should be no "ring wear" on the cover. (Ring wear is when the outline of the record inside shows through the sleeve.)
Excellent (EX) = Vinyl should still play with no skips of any kind. There can be some very minor surface scuffs, but they should not affect the sound quality. The record sleeve can have some minor ring wear but it should be mostly in good shape. Also, there can be some minor creases in the corners but no splits in the seams.
Very Good+ (VG+) = This is the grading category where the quality of the sound is affected -- there will be some surface noise -- and the vinyl will show wear, including surface scuffs and some light scratches. However, the record is still very listenable as there are no deep scratches that cause skips. On the cover, the corners may be slightly bent, but not broken. There may be wear to the seams but not tears or holes.
Very Good (VG) = Vinyl doesn't necessarily look good, but still plays well enough. Surface noise will probably be present, including pops and clicks. At higher volume levels, the music should overpower any pops and clicks present. There may be seam splitting, but not complete separation of the sleeve panels from each other. There will be noticeable ring wear on the cover, but the cover should for the most part still be in good condition.
Good (VG-) = Vinyl is well played and looks it. However, the record should still play without skipping. It will have substantial surface noise, pops and clicks. Loss of various parts of the dynamic range will occur due to worn grooves. This grade depends a lot on the owner and the type of records he or she collects. A rock record may still sound ok at a high volume, but quieter styles of music will be practically unlistenable. The record cover may have many problems including seam splits, tears, and writing on it.
The Terms: Payment is expected within 72 hours of the sale/auction's end unless other arrangements are made PRIOR to your bidding or committing to purchase via the "Buy It Now" option, if it is offered. I accept ONLY PAY-PAL PAYMENTS. Contrary to what may come up in eBay's shipping window, I will ONLY ship to the US, Canada, and Mexico as a rule; However, and before bidding (or I will cancel your bid), if you reside in a country other than the ones listed above you may contact me as I am willing to make exceptions on a case by case basis. ***PLEASE NOTE - I will NOT falsify customs paperwork to save you money so DO NOT ASK. It is illegal and a headache I will not bear. Thank you for your understanding.***
Shipping: I am a recycler of shipping materials. It is rare that I will ever use new/virgin shipping materials. That being said, I am also very particular about the way that I ship. If you have any certain requests or concerns regarding the way you would like things shipped please contact me before you bid or buy so that something may be worked out and if any extra charges may or may not need to be assessed to the final price. My primary shipper is the United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S.). I will normally ship within 3 standard business days of payment receipt. I implore you to purchase the insurance on any item under $50 and I REQUIRE it's purchase by you on all purchases over $50 @ $1.75 up to $50, $2.25 for $50.01-$100, $2.75 for $100.01-$200, $4.70 for $200.01-$300, $5.70 for $300.01 - $400, and so on. So please wait for my invoice BEFORE sending payment as this will be included. Delivery confirmation is included on all orders over $10. I will NOT be responsible for items that are lost, stolen or damaged after they have been accepted by the U.S.P.S. if you opted out of utilizing the insurance. This only applies to auctions. If you use the "BUY IT NOW" option I will incur all of the shipping costs.
Returns: As it has been brought to my attention through many forums, e-bay has imposed a return policy on all of its sellers. I will adhere to these policies as they require so long as it is made clear to you the prospective buyer that 1) I will NOT accept any items sold as "sealed" or "new" back once it has been opened, for ANY reason, 2) I will NOT be a victim of "buyer's remorse". If you can't afford the item, PLEASE don't commit to buy or bid on the item, 3) If for any reason I inadvertently misrepresent an item I will go so far as to offer reimbursement for the return shipping once the item has arrived back to me and based solely on what is stated on the postage label, 4) It is the responsibility of the purchaser to make their claim regarding any item incurring damage in shipping within an acceptable time frame (my belief, though debatable, is that a week is more than adequate).
Regarding feedback: I, as a seller, will leave feedback upon receipt of payment. It is your only responsibility to pay promptly. I will not wait for you to leave feedback before I do so and I will not forget to do so. I say this because as a buyer I have been "forgotten" by sellers (both large and small) in the past who, for whatever reason and even after receiving feedback from me, simply would not post any feedback.
As always, and again, THANK YOU!!! for your interest and Good Luck!!! if you are bidding!!!
