Description
Here is a very nice copy of a rare LP on the small local Allen Associates label from The Wanderers, a Connecticut Christian garage band which formed in 1964 at Conrad High School.
Side One contains sacred Christian songs, including two John Ylvisaker tracks, while Side Two has excellent garage covers of Fire, Testify, Midnight Hour and Knock On Wood, plus an amazing nine minute original track B.S.R.S (think Syd Barrett mixed with Country Joe and the Fish). Very competent guitar work from Rob Slusarz throughout, but he really shines on Hendrix’s “Fire”. Bob Gatzen was certainly a talented percussionist.
The vinyl is VG+ with hardly a blemish. Label Side 1 has a red dot. Sleeve is VG and has some rubbing to edges and slight bumping to corners with some ringwear. Former owner last name written in blue ink top rear. Generic white inner sleeve is age toned and has 2” split on side. A very respectable copy of a hard to find record. Shipped in a cardboard record box with bubble wrap.
