A lovely copy of this 1971 UK original Who classic with the superb STEREO sound quality being a true highlight
Year/Label : 1971 UK TRACK Label number : 2408 102 Matrix numbers : 2408102 A//1, 2408102 B//3 420 (with "MG 12888" and "BILBO" etched into the dead wax run-off's on side 1 and 2 respectively) Stampers : 12 32 / 05 11 5Near mint (NM) condition vinyl - I rarely use the term "near mint" but I have little hesitation in grading this copy as such...completely flat and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen, and with very close scrutiny under a very bright light the only marks I can identify are two small and extremely faint shadow marks on "Getting In Tune" which have quite possibly been there since this vinyl was manufactured. I am unable to identify any other marks at all - not even a wispy hairline or extremely faint paper scuff. A real gleamer - amazing! The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - pristine, with the single exception of just a couple of small and barely discernible random spindle trails next to the centre hole on each label. Clearly, this is a record that has been played only a few times. A very good plus (VG+) condition non-laminated MacNeill Press outer sleeve - firm edges with a little intermittent mild scuffing on the top edge, a few tiny "nicks" on the firm spine where all spine text remains nicely intact, well defined right angled corners with minimal rubbing on each, and on the reverse side some mild ring wear along with the odd light surface storage/wear/handling mark. All colours, photos, art work, and text remain well defined, there is no cardboard creasing, the opening edges remain firm with no fraying, and there is no unwanted writing. In summary, not perfect by any means but still fully functional and very presentable - not bad considering it's 55 year antiquity! Wonderful near mint (NM) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, clicks or crackle - perfect! Wonderful tone, great clarity and even the track intermissions are stone deaf silent...turn the volume up and immerse yourself in this Who classic with every track a superlative listen! Comes with non-original "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" plain white inner sleeve. The Who at their finest, a rock classic - all you need is for the sound quality to be nothing less than superb, and this copy delivers on that 100%!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
