Description

This is the original UK LP by The WHO,  THE WHO SELL OUT, 1967, Mono 1st Press on the TRACK label 612 002       Matrix numbers are, Side 1:-  612002 A 2-11 6 ,    Side 2:-  612002 B 1 1 2 1 0   What makes this RARE is the fact that its a very 1st Mono pressing and that it has the barely EVER SEEN sticker on the cover, advertising the 'Free Psychedelic poster'. THE POSTER IS MISSING. Only the 1st 1000 copies came with the sticker and poster. The 1st 500 Mono copies and the 1st 500 stereo copies.     The original 1967 UK E.J.DAY, Mono UK 1st issue fully laminated cover is in a EX+++ condition. The cover is lovely and clean, maintaining all it's beautiful rich bright vibrant colour, thickly laminated with glossy laminate. The spine is fully intact, clean with NO damage. Their are no seam splits and no unwanted writing. A BRILLIANT EXAMPLE!     The vinyl is in EX+++ / MINT- condition!. The vinyl gleams with all it's original 'Just Pressed, glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays  EX+++ / MINT- !!!!, The vinyl has ONLY 2-3 very very light small hairline non-audioable marks, otherwise would be graded MINT!.   The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity!, amazing clean, clear, crisp powerful Mono sound!!!!.   The vinyl plays superbly with such tracks as the sublime ' I CAN SEE FOR MILES', a spiralling piece of neo-psychedelia that has a spiritual partner in the equally trippy 'ARMENIA CITY IN THE SKY'.  Such a true pleasure to listen too, such a fresh bright sounding vinyl, their is a tiny amount of fine barely audioable crackle right at the start on the radio jingle introduction and 2 audioable light pops at the end of  'OUR LOVE WAS', NO sticking, NO jumps.   In response to The Beatles SGT. PEPPER album at the very end of the album is a audio oddity that repeats in a locked groove. The music in the locked groove is a instrumental version of what was originally intended to be the vocal jingle for the WHO's TRACK label.

The TRACK label's are in MINT- condition, lovely and clean,  maintaining all their original bright fresh colour. Side 1 has only 2 very small light re-aligned marks, Side 2 has NO re-alignment marks. This vinyl has barely been played, possibly only 3-4 times, very carefully!, AMAZING!. Their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows no wear.

The vinyl is housed in its original 1967 UK 1st issue white polythene lined inner sleeve, and in EX+ condition, no seam splits, no unwanted writing.
