I was going to chuck this out as I thought it had no real value (maybe a fiver but not worth the effort of selling), then my fiancée pointed out that it was signed. I had seen the signature but thought it was just part of the cover design, ie printed on all as standard. However, a bit of google detective work shows that it was not part of the design and if you run your finger over it, then it does feel like it has been written on. This makes sense as my mum, who this belonged to and unfortunately is no longer with us to answer the question, dated a gentleman who worked as part of a rigging/stage crew for some Elton John performances.
I am selling this with the knowledge above only. I offer no guarantee that this is Elton's signature but I see no reason why it wouldn't be, it would be an odd thing for my mum or anyone else to scribble on it!
Anyway, it is of no value to me and I'm not sure if it is of any value to anyone else so I will start it at 1p with no reserve and £5 postage.
