Description

The Velvet Underground - Sweet Sister Ray double LP.

I have owned this vinyl from new, bought mail order 1988-ish from a well known (at that time) dealer who didn't put any card stiffeners in the mailer, consequently the corners got bent by the Royal Mail.  I should have complained and got a replacement but never did.  I have shown the creasing very clearly in my pictures and I would grade the cover as Good/VG.  However, the vinyl is MINT.  Probably only played two or three times and stored securely in a smoke free home.

Notes: the first record offers about 40 minutes of Sweet Sister Ray intro to Sister Ray! Second record has the famous blasting 'guitar amp' Sister Ray. Back cover says side 3 is from Second Fret, Philadelphia, Jan 1970 but this version comes actually from the December 12, 1968 Boston Tea Party tape and is sometimes considered as the best version ever. The records come in a great picture cover using the two famous shots by Ken Greenberg, originally published in Crawdaddy! magazine in 1968. Definitely E.S.S.E.N.T.I.A.L.!
