Description

Up for auction is one of my prized possessions...but it's time to buy new studio equipment...so here goes.  It's a beautiful copy of the stereo version of the Velvet Underground & Nico LP (Verve V6-5008).  The gatefold cover is in VG++++ condition.  Some minor "shelf rub" wear to the edges...but I would easily give it an 8 out of 10.


The unpeeled banana is in terrific shape.  There's a small split at the banana stem (see third photo).


The LP is in absolutely excellent condition.  Almost no surface noise and defect-free.  Clean, clean, clean and gorgeous.  A solid M-.


Matrix number is etched in the runoff.


Original Verve inner paper picture sleeve (not pictured) in excellent condition.


With Warhol mania continuing to reach insane heights, this record is becoming extremely hard to find in high grade.  I hope it goes to a real VelvetsWarhol fan.  Good luck!
