Description
I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge.
Here I have a copy of the ' The Velvet Underground ' 1967 release ' The Velvet Underground and Nico '.
The record is a first issue UK MONO pressing on the black VERVE labels. Cat no VLP 9184 The matrix A2 B2 Stampers 1 R 1 R
Grading :
I've played both sides of the record. Visually the record is very clean and under light, there is some hairlines visible. This produces a great sound with appreciative surface noise during the quieter moments on side A. Side B sound reproduction is almost perfect. No jumps skips etc. The labels are clean with the 'sold in the UK...' text on them. Grade EX.
The front laminated flipback sleeve cover is in EX condition, lovely and crisp with very little fading to the front and rear. This cover is also the much rarer version since it states 'MONO' on the front top right, must 1st issue covers are just blank.
