Description

I have had this in my collection for decades and I will try to give an accurate description. This is a first edition of the 3rd Velvet Underground album on MGM SE-4617 from 1969. Yes... there are scuff marks but I was very pleased how well this album cleaned up. There is surface noise but album plays through with no skips or major pops... still has a nice shine to it. The cover has no splits and hopefully the pictures give you an accurate description. Please email with any questions.
This is the BMI edition:

• Blue & gold MGM labels with lion logo
• Catalog numbers printed on the right side of the label
• Text below tracklist includes: All Selections Publ. By Virpi, Inc.- BMI
• Side A incorrectly lists "What Goes On" duration as 3:35 (correct  time on back cover)
The Velvet Underground is the self-titled third studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Released in March 1969, it was their first record with Doug Yule, who was a replacement for John Cale. Recorded in 1968 at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, the album's sound—consisting largely of ballads and straightforward rock songs—marked a notable shift in style from the band's previous recordings. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album number 314 in their list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
Early copies of the album were released on MGM, but re-issue versions are on Verve
