Description
The Undertones ultra rare 10" sampler (TONE 1 on Sire) from 1979 features their first four singles; Teenage Kicks - Get over You - Jimmy Jimmy - Here Comes the summer. The idea was to export the majority of copies overseas and, in particular, to America to promote the band. To dispel all myths about this release, it was limited to 1000 copies but only 250 were numbered (most of these remained in the UK, though). Their manager painstakingly numbered each copy by hand with Tippex - how many copies would you want to do?! This is copy number 62 (see scan). The vinyl itself is mint and unplayed (see it shine!). The cover is excellent (please see images) – there are no seam splits, tears or writing (with the exception of the number 62 which is supposed to be there!).
Please have a look at my other items - I'll be adding new items regularly and am happy to combine postage costs.
You will receive the actual item in the image – I don’t use stock photos.
I grade my items accurately and honestly and take great care when packing them. I’ll separate the record from the sleeve to avoid damage in transit.
Bid with confidence and please feel free to ask any questions.
I’m a collector myself and am fed up with people who think they’re experts at everything and will sell anything from CDs to jeans incorporating ice cream vans along the way and use mint as a standard grading!
