Description
The Undertones ultra rare 10" sampler (TONE 1 on Sire) from 1979 features their first four singles; Teenage Kicks - Get over You - Jimmy Jimmy - Here Comes the summer. The idea was to export the majority of copies overseas and, in particular, to America to promote the band. To dispel all myths about this release, it was limited to 1000 copies but only 250 were numbered (most of these remained in the UK, though). Their manager painstakingly numbered each copy by hand with Tippex - how many copies would you want to do?! This is copy number 183 (see scan). The vinyl itself is mint and unplayed (see it shine!). The cover is near excellent - there's a small crease on the front and some light marks on the back (please see images) There are no seam splits, tears or writing (with the exception of the number 183 which is supposed to be there!).
